This Stunning Weight-Loss Photo Will Inspire You to Curb Your Booze Consumption

It takes a toll on the liver, increases the risk of heart attack, stroke, and various cancers, weakens our immune system, and makes us gain weight. A recent study even found that drinking just one alcoholic beverage a day can shorten our lifespan.

Many of us want to cut down our alcohol intake, but we’re dubious about how much of a short-term, visible effect it will have on our bodies. Now, a viral post by a Swedish Instagram influencer who calls herself “Jelly Devote” highlights what a difference easing up on the booze can make.

In her early 20s, the fitness star was partying it up with her friends, drinking beer and hard cider at least three times a week. Now 27, she’s scaled back to having a glass of wine or champagne every other week, and the effects have been incredible.

“There is so many changes in how I look, how I feel, and how I live my life,” she wrote in the caption to her Instagram post. “I’ve never felt better, I have balance. I eat a doughnut 🍩 followed by a salad 🥗 I don’t drink alcohol 🍷 often, I down my water 💦 and most importantly I’ve gone from hating myself to loving myself.”

The #fitspo star doesn’t know exactly how much she weighed at her heaviest, because she hated herself so much she couldn’t step on the scale. She also doesn’t know exactly how much she weighs now, because “weight doesn’t matter, you matter. How you feel about yourself.”

In another inspiring before/after post, the influencer motivated people to realize that you could look a lot better as you get older by making healthy choices. “Age is just a number and I’m so happy I’ve grown up,” she wrote. “Don’t be scared of getting older. Don’t be mean to yourself at any point. Love yourself now, not just when you have ‘reached your goal.'”

She also posted some real-talk about bloating and how to lessen its effects.

Let’s talk about #bloat 😤😖 . We all have it more or less. I’m just in that category “more” due to my #IBS 🙋🏼‍♀️ which I now choose not to be too upset about, or letting it affect my quality off life anymore! 🙅🏼‍♀️💖 . Every body bloat differently, some after a meal, some after a certain meal/food, some after workouts, som jut from nowhere and some just from anything! 😤 . Bloating is “normal” to a certain degree where it’s not causing you agony and pain over the “normal”. I have chronically disease, so I’m used to it now! 🤷🏼‍♀️💁🏼‍♀️ . So what can we do when we bloat to help it?! I’ll tell you now gurl ✨😍 . 💜 first thing I do, be active! If you are feeling bloated, a quick walk or a gym session to get your intestines moving will ALWAYS help! 💜 When you eat, chew slowly. If you eat too quick, you swallow air and will be very gassy 💨 💜avoid acidic and carbonated drinks coffe, tea, juice, and alcohol should be avoided 🍸 💜 drink a lot off water to flush it all out, so to say 💩👻 💜 boil some water, add cinnamon and honey 🍯 and drink it morning and night 💜 avoid too much salty and fatty food, try to eat cooked vegetables etc instead off raw since it’s harder for you to digest = bloat 💜 eat smaller and more often to avoid over filling yourself 💜 avoid stressing and try to sleep 💤 more 😴 💜 make sure your not allergic to certain food, lactose? Gluten? Take an allergy test! 💜Do yoga to release trapped wind and get your intestine going! . . I hope you liked some off my tips, if you swipe you can see how I currently look super bloated.
