These sixth graders have a big surprise for their teachers

From notebooks to scissors, they presented 10 educators at Parlin Junior High School in Everett, Massachusetts, with enough supplies to last the full school year, and Inside Edition was there to capture the sweet moment.

For teacher Katelyn Crossley, it's a real gift. She spends her own money to have sufficient supplies for her classroom.

"They have what they need, so they'll feel prepared and they'll feel ready for the year," she told Inside Edition.

She added: "I'm very, very grateful."

The surprise was orchestrated with the help of the Kids in Need Foundation, which provides funds for supplies.

"Having things as seemingly simple as a pencil or a notebook, it can seem really basic until you don't have them," explained Claire Spinti, who works for the organization.

Here's to a great school year!
