Queen Elizabeth Was All Smiles at the Royal Windsor Horse Show This Morning

Woman's Day Logo By Emily Burack of Woman's Day | Slide 1 of 15: Queen Elizabeth couldn't stop smiling at the 2022 Royal Windsor Horse Show. The 96-year-old British monarch, who has been struggling with ongoing mobility issues, made a surprise appearance on day two of the event. The event takes place on the grounds of Windsor Castle, so the Queen was driven a short distance to see three of her fell ponies take part in a race. After, she was driven to the main arena and walked to her seat using a cane. This was her first public appearance since the Thanksgiving Service for Prince Philip at the end of March. Queen Elizabeth is a regular attendee of the Royal Windsor Horse Show; it has been held annually since 1943, and she has yet to miss a year, making her appearance all the more significant.
