'Should we just get rid of all the sixes?' she asked her Hoda Kotb has revealed that her wardrobe person had to give her a nudge to get rid of all of her size six dresses because they were too small on her.

The 54-year-old anchor was chatting with her co-host Jenna Bush Hager, 37, on the fourth hour of the Today show Friday when she admitted that her wardrobe person had subtly called her out for holding on to clothes that don't fit.

The stylist told Hoda her closet was so full that she kept wearing the same eight dresses. 'Should we just get rid of all the sixes?' she asked her.

The two hosts both burst into laughter over the encounter, with Hoda acknowledging that she had a point.

'I have some in there that are a size six that I wore... I don't remember when,' she explained. 'And she goes, "Should we just pluck all those out first? And then we'll get started."

'You have sizes that don't fit,' Hoda said, and she's not the first person to admit to holding on to too small clothes.

'I never really wore a six. Why were they in there? To make me feel bad,' the mother-of-one said.

Jenna couldn't resist asking if she had bought the dresses thinking they would fit one day, and Hoda agreed that was probably the case.

'I've done that,' Jenna said. 'I tried on a dress and I'm like, it's so close to zipping. I'm sure I'll get in it, and I was like, I'll get it and one day I will be skinny enough.'

The conversation came about while the two were discussing how organization guru Marie Kondo has inspired people around the country to purge their homes of unwanted goods with her new Netflix series 'Tidying Up.'

'The cool thing about this whole Marie Kondo effect is that a lot of people are doing it, and all the places that need donations are finding that they are hitting like record levels,' Hoda said.

'So she is doing a lot of good. Sometimes people just need a nudge to [clean up].'

'It's so funny how quickly you see a personality developing,' the proud mom gushed. 'Like. I feel with Haley I am seeing it emerge every second.

'I knew she was a sweet, funny kid. Now I realize how determined she is,' she continued. 'She will take my backpack, literally, and drag it across the room until she gets all the way to the end.'

Hoda said her toddler's determination made her realize she isn't going to have to worry about her succeeding when she gets older.
