Man Adamantly Denies Knowledge Of Alleged Catfish. Claims Online Photos Were Stolen
For the past two days, Dr. Phil has been talking to Anna, her son, Nino, and Nino’s fiancée, Alexandria. Nino and Alexandria claim that Anna is being scammed by a catfish who calls himself “Sammie Lee Strong,” and, who they allege, talked her out of tens of thousands of dollars. On Wednesday, the investigation into “Sammie” took producers to Atlanta, Georgia, where “Sammie” claims he has lived. The search for “Sammie” then moved to Beirut, Lebanon, where a man named Khaled has been identified as the real man behind the images “Sammie” has been sending to Anna since they met online. Khaled, who insists his personal photos were stolen from social media, adamantly denies knowing Anna or having anything to do with the alleged catfish, “Sammie.” Khaled claims that he is a victim of identity theft, but Samantha, an English woman who says she has met Khaled in person multiple times, claims that he talked her out of about £2,000. “I’ve got nothing but contempt for the man,” she says. Khaled admits he knows Samantha and claims that she is a dear friend of his, but vehemently denies any wrongdoing. Later, when Kathy, who runs a worldwide scammer alert webpage from her home in the Canary Islands, accuses him of training Nigerian boys to use his pictures to prey on women around the world, how does Khaled respond to the allegation? Watch the recap of Wednesday’s episode above. And on Thursday, does Anna say she’s ready to admit that her online “boyfriend” may have been scamming her all along?
