            The investment seeks total return, consisting of capital appreciation and current income. The fund takes long and short positions in equity securities of companies that are principally engaged in the real estate industry ("real estate companies"). It may also invest in other equity securities including preferred stocks, shares of exchange-traded funds, convertible securities, and rights or warrants to buy common stocks. The fund may invest in securities of companies of any market capitalization and, as a general matter, the managers expect its investments to be primarily in equity securities issued by U.S. companies. It is non-diversified.
