California regulators call for more transparency from oil refiners
Five seats sat empty inside the California Energy Commission’s hearing room all day Tuesday. Nameplates marked the state’s five major oil refiners- Chevron, Valero, Phillips 66, PBF Energy and Marathon, who were missing from the meeting that revolved around surging gas prices that stressed consumers and put pressure on lawmakers earlier this fall.
