China's Power in Asia Diminished by Covid Zero, Lowy Institute Says
Susannah Patton, project lead for the Asia Power Index at Sydney-based Lowy Institute, discusses the research group's latest report that shows China's standing in the Asia-Pacific has been damaged by its decision to stick with Covid Zero for most of 2022. This leaves the US to cement its position as the most influential power in the region, Lowy says. Patton also talks about the bilateral relations between the two countries and the downing of China's alleged spy balloon by the US. She speaks with Haidi Stroud-Watts and Shery Ahn on "Bloomberg Daybreak: Australia."
