NYC mayor asks for federal help as illegal firearms and gun violence rates skyrocket
Following the fatal shooting of a police officer on Friday, New York City Mayor Eric Adams is calling on the federal government to do more to get illegal firearms off the streets. Gun violence is rising across the U.S., with more than 1,000 people killed in homicides and accidental shootings just this year. Michael George has the details.
