The North America segment consists of 25 manufacturing facilities across the region; and engages in the development, design, manufacture, marketing and distribution of copper, aluminum and fiber optic wire and cable pro...moreducts for the energy, industrial, construction, specialty and communications markets principally for use in the electric utility, electrical infrastructure, construction, and communications industries, as well as manufacture and distribution of rod mill wire and cable products primarily in the United States and Canada. The Europe and Mediterranean segment consists of 10 manufacturing facilities across the region; and engages in the development, design, manufacture, marketing and distribution of copper, aluminum and fiber optic wire and cable products for the energy, industrial, construction, specialty and communications markets principally for use in the electric utility, electrical infrastructure, construction, and communications industries with operations in Algeria, Angola, Egypt, France, Germany, Norway, Portugal and Spain, and sells its products throughout Europe, the Mediterranean and Africa. The ROW segment consists of 21 manufacturing facilities across the segment; and engages in the development, design, manufacture, marketing and distribution of copper, aluminum and fiber optic wire and cable products for use in the energy, industrial, construction, specialty and communications markets as well as manufacture and distribution of rod mill wire and cable products. Current ROW operations and equity investments are located in Australia, Brazil, Chile, China, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Fiji, Honduras, India, Mexico, New Zealand, Oman, Pakistan, Panama, Peru, the Philippines, South Africa, Thailand, Venezuela and Zambia. The Company’s product portfolio category includes; Electric Utility; low- and medium-voltage distribution cables, high- and extra-high-voltage underground transmission cables and installation, bare overhead conductors and submarine transmission and distribution cables; its Electrical Infrastructure category include; rubber- and plastic-jacketed wire and cables, ignition wire sets, cable wire harnesses, oil & gas and shipboard cables; its Communications category consists of high-bandwidth twisted copper and fiber optic cables, multi-conductor and multi-pair fiber and copper networking cables, low detection profile cables and offshore integration systems; its Construction category consists of construction cable, flexible cords; halogen-free, low-smoke and flame retardant cables; and its Road Mill category consists of copper and aluminum rod. The raw materials used by the Company in the manufacturing of its wire and cable products are copper and aluminum.
