The Utility business segment includes six wholly-owned retail electric utility subsidiaries: Entergy Arkansas, Entergy Gulf States Louisiana, Entergy Louisiana, Entergy Mississippi, Entergy New Orleans, and Entergy Texas. These companies generate, transmit, distribute and sell electric power to retail and wholesale customers in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas. The Utility operating companies provided retail electric and gas service to customers in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas. Entergy Wholesale Commodities includes the ownership and operation of six nuclear power plants, five of which are located in the Northeast United States, with the sixth located in Michigan, and is focused on selling electric power produced by those plants to wholesale customers. Entergy Wholesale Commodities revenues are derived from sales of energy and generation capacity from these plants. This business also provides services to other nuclear power plant owners.
