National Beef markets its products to national and regional retailers, including supermarket chains, independent grocers, club stores, wholesalers and distributors, food service providers and distributors, further processors and the United States military. The primary raw material for the processing plants is live cattle. Beef products compete with other protein sources, including pork and poultry, but National Beef's competition comes from other beef processors.
