Enough is Enough: The Power of Your Inherent Value | Meag-gan Ann O'Reilly, PhD | TEDxSJSU

If you have ever quietly wondered to yourself “Am I enough?” this talk is for you. That insatiable drive toward status, successes, beauty, and achievement may stem from a conditional valuing system toward yourself that impedes your experience of your inherent value. Stanford Psychologist Meag-gan O’Reilly offers a powerful reminder informed by ancient philosophy of what inherent value is and offers a behavioral framework for cultivating a life and society that can better recognized the basic intrinsic value of each person. It is time to see ourselves in a different and more accurate light that requires dismantling and re-envisioning self-worth. Dr. O'Reilly is a full time; licensed Staff Psychologist at Stanford University's Counseling and Psychological Services. Dr. O’Reilly also serves as the Programs Manager for Outreach, Equity and Inclusion. Her research covers several areas under the umbrella of social justice. Her areas of clinical interest include social class, college student mental health, resilience, and multicultural identities particularly gender and ethnicity. Dr. O'Reilly operates a private practice in downtown Palo Alto in which she provides clinical services to Silicon Valley professionals. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at
