Hong Kong’s Lam Faces Torrid Questioning After Political Clash

Jul.22 -- Hong Kong’s leader Carrie Lam has decried a night of violence in the city as police clashed with protesters. She says the government wants to find the root cause of the public’s anger. Yesterday, police fired tear gas to clear the streets around the China Liaison office after demonstrators surrounded the building and defaced the national emblem at the building’s entrance.
