Actor Jean-Claude Van Damme's 21-year-old son was arrested for allegedly holding his roommate at knifepoint.

Nicholas Van Varenberg was arrested on Sunday in Tempe, Ariz., for reportedly holding a knife against his roommate, according to TMZ.

Police were called after Van Varenberg punched an elevator in his building and then officers found a trail of blood to the apartment. They found the youngest son of Van Damme with an injury to his hand, according to the gossip site.

The officers exited the apartment after that, but Van Varenberg's roommate ran down the stairs, claiming he escaped the apartment because he was being held by Van Varenberg at knifepoint. He was reportedly angry the roommate opened the door and let cops in.

Van Varenberg was arrested and booked on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful imprisonment, according to TMZ.
