Ewan McGregor looked every inch the doting dad as he held his new baby son Laurie in a carrier while out on a stroll recently.

The Star Wars and Trainspotting star's daughter Clara, 25, posted a picture of Ewan, 50, and the latest addition to his family in a now-deleted Instagram story.

She joked: 'Dad mode activated' as she showed a shades wearing Ewan looking relaxed in a car park in the United States with Laurie, seven months.

Blonde-haired Laurie was dressed in baby blue as a bearded Ewan held onto his feet as he was strapped to his body.

Ewan has previously been seen with Laurie at home behind his drum kit in a video shot by younger daughter Esther, 20.

He was also seen with Laurie and his partner Mary Elizabeth Winstead, 37, while pushing a stroller.

Ewan and Mary Elizabeth have been together since 2017 after they met on the set of Fargo.

Ewan shares four daughters with ex-wife Eve Mavrakis, they split in 2017 after 22 years of marriage and their divorce was finalised in August 2020.

The couple, who met on the set of the TV crime drama Kavanagh QC, first confirmed their split in 2017 amid claims Ewan had been seen kissing Mary in a London restaurant.

Eve was pictured without her wedding ring at around the same time.

Ewan – who blamed 'irreconcilable differences' for the split – then began dating Mary. The couple welcomed Laurie into the world in June.

The actor will soon be seen in Disney + series OBO Wan Kenobi in the titular role as well as Guillermo Del Toros musical stop motion film Pinocchio as the voice of Jiminy Cricket.
