The debut roles of musicians-turned-actors

It’s hard enough to be a successful professional musician. And yet, some musicians aren’t satisfied to rest on their laurels there. Oftentimes, musicians try their hand at acting as well. Sometimes it works out unexpectedly well, and other times they flop. Here are the first movie roles of some notable musicians who thought they could act as well. However, we are not including animated films or movies where musicians play themselves. That’s technically acting, but only barely.
