Two men have been charged following a non-fatal double shooting on the set of Denzel Washington’s “The Equalizer 2” in Boston.

The Quincy Police Department arrested two 18-year-olds, Dionte Martinez and Thomas Perkins, on Thursday — five days after they fled the scene of the crime on Whittier Street in the city’s Roxbury section. They suspects were charged with assault with intent to murder, unlawful possession of a firearm, and unlawful possession of ammunition after injuring two security guards on Saturday morning.

The two victims, a 40-year-old woman and 33-year-old man, both suffered non-life-threatening gunshot wounds and were transported to local hospitals, where they were treated for their injuries.

According to the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office, filming wasn’t underway at the time, and the guards don’t appear to have been the intended targets. The motive remains under investigation.

The men will be arraigned in Roxbury Municipal Court on Friday.

“The Equalizer” follow-up hits theaters on Sept. 14, 2018. The movie, directed by Antoine Fuqua, marks Washington’s first sequel. The original film was a box office hit in 2014, grossing $100 million domestically.

Washington will reprise his role as Robert McCall, a former special ops agent who now helps those who can’t defend themselves. “Narcos” star Pedro Pascal is in negotiations to play the antagonist.
