Over 4000-Year-Old Mummy Unearthed in Egypt
A mummy more than 1000 years older than King Tut was just uncovered in Egypt. After more than 4000 years under the ground, a sarcophagus was brought back to the surface, bringing with it treasures of the past. Egyptologists believe he is the oldest non-royal mummified person ever discovered in Egypt. Thanks to hieroglyphics, we know this man’s name was Hekashepes. Hekashepes was laid to rest in Saqqara, a site near what was once the capitol of ancient Egypt.
