Queen has debuted an app giving fans the chance to win prizes via various puzzles and quizzes, all while exploring the band's history. Below, a futher look at "Queen: Play the Game" plus some other notable apps released by musicians.

Queen's app includes imagery from the band's official archive and re-sampled sounds from its hit songs. You can test your knowledge of the band (more than 900 questions, answers and images are included), solve puzzles and win band merchandise, among other prizes. Find at

"Golf Media" - Tyler, the Creator
iOS, Android

Tyler, the Creator's Golf Media App features original content and music. The rapper, leader and co-founder of the alternative hip hop collective Odd Future, calls it "basically my brain in one place."

"PolyFauna" - Radiohead
iOS, Android

Radiohead's 2014 "experimental collaboration" with digital art studio Universal Everything yielded this creative app. Set to the band's song "Bloom," it displays changing abstract landscapes as users hold out their device and follow the red dot on the screen.

"The Blur App"
iOS, Spotify

Blur's app presents the Damon Albarn-led band's 21-year career via music, interviews, images, setlists and more. Preview or listen to full tracks, check out previously unreleased and rare images and video and find interviews recorded exclusively for the app.

"Snoopify" - Snoop Dogg

Launched in 2013, Snoopify is a photo-sharing app that lets users decorate their images with virtual Snoop Dogg-themed stickers. Some are free and some are available via an in-app purchase. Download via

The developers behind the game, 99centbrains, are also behind the smilar Major Lazer's Lazergram.

"Biophilia" - Björk

Björk's multi-sensory Biophilia app was a gamechanger, presenting her 2011 album of the same name as an interactive experience including animations, games and graphics for each track.

Another notable album-as-app, Lady Gaga's Artpop, combines music, art, fashion and technology.
