Federal agents conducted a raid Tuesday, May 21, 2019, in the 9200 block of Blind Lane in San Antonio.

Federal agents raided several locations this morning in San Antonio, Austin, Corpus Christi and McAllen, targeting more than 31 alleged members of a drug-trafficking ring, with some of them reportedly tied to the Tango Orejon/Tango Blast gang.

About 20 of the targeted suspects were in San Antonio, including two alleged leaders, Ramon Salas Jr., 37, and Luis S. Godines, 39, accused of trafficking large amounts of heroin, methamphetamine and fentanyl into southern Texas and San Antonio.

Arrests were made and search warrants served in the 9200 block of Blind Lane, 9400 block of Gold Hill, both near Marbach, and in Converse, among others.

Today’s raids came after a federal grand jury in San Antonio indicted the suspects last Wednesday.

Many of those taken into custody were to appear in federal court this afternoon.
