Authorities are still searching for one inmate on the loose following an escape involving five inmates from a North Carolina jail.

The Nash County Sheriff's Office reported a jail breakout Monday evening involving five men at the Nash County Detention Center.

Nash County Sheriff Keith Stone said the inmates escaped through a hole near an exercise yard, then fled to a wooded area where they may have been picked up by an accomplice, according to local station WRAL.

Stone said the inmates were being monitored by camera in the exercise yard, but it may have been pointed in a different direction at the time they escaped, reports WRAL.

At about 12:00 a.m. ET on Tuesday, the sheriff's office reported on Facebook two of the men — 28-year-old David Viverette and 25-year-old Raheem D-Carlos Horne — had been captured. WRAL reports both men were found at a motel 15 miles away from the jail.

Five hours later, two more inmates — 30-year-old David Ruffin Jr. and 23-year-old Keonte Murphy — were taken into custody, the sheriff's office said.

Authorities are still looking for Laquaris Rashad Battle, 25, said the sheriff's office. They are offering a $1,500 reward for information leading to his capture.
