Funeral arrangements have been announced for 17-year-old Josh Burgess who was killed in a crash in Greenville, South Carolina last week.

Josh's family said the funeral will take place Saturday at Brushy Creek Baptist Church.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. and the funeral will follow.

The family has requested that people wear a jersey or T-shirt of their favorite sports team in honor of Josh.

"Josh loves his sports and would want it that way," his family said.

His sister Lily and cousin Jeffrey, who were also in the car at the time at the crash were taken to the hospital but are recovering now at home.

Josh was driving home after going to church on Wednesday night.

Someone driving a stolen car was speeding down Wade Hampton Boulevard and hit the back of Josh's car while he was stopped at a red light in front of a shopping center, police said.

Josh's car was pushed into the intersection, flipped on its side and hit a pole.

He died at the scene.

Police said the Honda Accord, that hit Josh's car, had been reported stolen from Fire House Subs in Greer about an hour before the crash.

The driver of the stolen vehicle is still in the hospital and is expected to face charges after the investigation is complete, Greer police said.

School officials confirmed Burgess was a senior at Wade Hampton High School, where he was a football player and participated in the school’s Project Lead the Way engineering program.
