Police have nabbed the man they say stabbed a Bronx woman to death with a screwdriver — a month after he fatally knifed his uncle, who had just won a $10,000 lottery payout.

Cops say they arrested Idris Abdul-Muhaymin about 11:35 p.m. Wednesday — 10 hours after Wanda Rios, 45, was found clinging to life in a back office of a Bronx security firm that proudly has the slogan, “We’re always ready for any confrontation.”

Rios, 45, was discovered stabbed in the neck and body inside the E. 233rd St. storefront office belonging to M.N.I. Security Specialist Inc. near Bronxwood Ave. in Wakefield about 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday, officials said. A bloody screwdriver was found next to her. She died a short time later at Montefiore Medical Center.

Abdul-Muhaymin, 45, has been on the run for a month, wanted in the stabbing death of his uncle Owen Dillard, killed in his Mott Haven apartment June 11.

Dillard, 73, had recently won a $10,000 lottery payout and Abdul-Muhaymin was drowning in gambling debts, family members said.

Two weeks after Dillard’s slaying cops released a photo of Abdul-Muhaymin, naming him as the suspect and asking the public’s help tracking him down.

Cops say Abdul-Muhaymint, who records show went to prison for 20 years for a manslaughter conviction in 1992, knew Rios but the details of their relationship were unclear.

He is charged with murder, manslaughter and weapon possession.
