An man is dead after a vehicle struck him in Upper Marlboro on Sunday.

Maryland State Police Troopers responded to a call at Southbound Route 301 and Rosaryville Road just before 5:40 am Sunday.

Officials received reports of a person laying the grass median. Troopers found Adrian Harris, 26, of Waldorf, Md. dead on arrival.

The driver who struck Harris was travelling southbound and told officials he believed he struck a deer before pulling over a short distance away from the scene to call OnStar Services.

When officials arrived, they located the driver's vehicle and say both passengers cooperated in the investigation.

Troopers believe the vehicle may have struck the man while he was in or along the roadway.

The investigation is still ongoing.
