Two YouTubers from the Netherlands were arrested Tuesday after allegedly trespassing on the Nevada National Security Site in Nye County.

Deputies responded to a report of foreign national trespassers and found a car parked near a gate approximately three miles into the security site, according to the Nye County Sheriff’s Office.

The two men were identified as Govert Charles Wilhelmus Jacob Sweep, 21, and Ties Granzier, 20.

“Both individuals told deputies that they speak, write and read English," the Nye County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement. "They said that they saw the ‘no trespassing’ signs at the Mercury Highway entrance to the Nevada National Security Site, but they wanted to look at the facility.”

Granzier told deputies that he’s a YouTuber and deputies found several cameras, a phone, a laptop and a drone inside their vehicle.

Both men consented to a search of their cameras where deputies found video footage taken on the property.

They were booked into the Nye County Detention Center and charged with trespassing.
