Prom season is just around the corner and once again, a Cincinnati nonprofit is opening its doors.

Kenzie's Closet began in 2006, helping students who can't afford that dream dress.

The nonprofit aims to help girls in financial need look their best on prom night.

Three-hundred packets are sent out each year, and girls who meet the requirement get to come in, have a personal shopper and pick out the perfect dress.

The personal shoppers said they love the feeling helping out brings.

"I dressed a girl last week who was really shy and reserved. And you could physically watch her bloom. Her posture changed, she smiled she twirled in the dress," said Kathy McDonald, executive director of Kenzie's Closet. "Just to see that transformation and that I had a part of that is amazing to watch."

The nonprofit has more than 1,000 dresses in all sizes, plus shoes and accessories.

They're always looking for additional donations. For more information, click here.
