U.S. economy grew in third quarter despite surging inflation
After six months of decline, the U.S. Gross Domestic Product increased at an annual rate of 2.9% in the third quarter. Lori Bettinger, president of BancAlliance and the former director of the Troubled Asset Relief Program at the Treasury Department, joined CBS News to discuss this latest economic indicator.
