Lil Uzi Vert Ate $1,000 Worth of Crab in a Stella McCartney Sweater

Judging by his Instagram feed, Lil Uzi Vert had quite the weekend. The Philadelphia-based rapper is known as much for his distinctive vocals as he is for his emo-influenced style (he cites Marilyn Manson as a major inspiration, and one need look no further than his recent Grammysoutfit to see the connection). He started off the weekend with a shot in Australia, layering a white Balenciaga hoodie underneath a Burberry short-sleeved set that he accessorized with pink socks. And while the olive green Von Dutchjumpsuit was surprisingly subdued territory for the artist, Uzi finished it off with a classic Von Dutch hat in bright orange and light blue to take things up a notch.

Uzi then went in a more casual direction, donning some Marc Jacobssweatpants and an Off-WhiteT-shirt with skinny jeans. His next few posts continued to show his support for Off-White’s Virgil Abloh (Abloh directed Uzi’s “XO Tour Llif3” video): a shiny pair of black vinyl pants, a huge upside-down cross diamond chain, and some lime green velvet Off-White x Timberland boots.

He finished off the weekend in two over-the-top looks that made everything else seem like child’s play. First, yellow leopard-print Comme des Garçonspants that matched his hat and the stitching on his Doc Martens, finished off with a patchwork black leather jacket. Last but not least, Uzi looked positively cozy in a Stella McCartneysweater, which he layered over blue jeans adorned with flower patches. If all the designer threads weren’t luxurious enough, Uzi finished off his fashion-filled weekend by feasting on $1,000 worth of crab—yes, crab. Then again, given his penchant for major looks, spending $1,000 on a single meal shouldn’t come as (too much) of a surprise.
