This National Nature Reserve is almost inhospitable during winter but comes alive in spring. It is a favored breeding ground for many species of birds and home to rare plants like the horned sea poppy and shrubby sea-blite. You might also come across gray and common seals. It is also home to a 19th century building called The Watch House, which was once a look-out for smugglers.
