On the morning of Dec. 7, 1941, America woke up to the shock of Japanese fighter planes attacking their naval base at Pearl Harbor near Honolulu, Hawaii. More than 2,000 American soldiers and sailors were killed in the attack and over 1,000 wounded. The bombings marked the U.S. entry into World War II. On the 75th anniversary of Pearl Harbor attack in 2016, we take a look at the day and various memorials held to commemorate the event.
