George Conway, the husband of White House counselor Kellyanne Conway, lashed out at President Trump in a new series of tweets early Thursday, saying that he is a liar and "the worst kind of dumb."

"As I said to @sbg1, to understand Trump 'you have to look at everything through the prism of his narcissism.' Once you do that, pretty much everything makes sense," the attorney said in another tweet, referring to The New Yorker's Susan Glasser.

Conway said in another post that it is "important" to understand that the president is dishonest about "everything."

"The only qualifier to this is that his compulsive lying is also important to understand. He lies, as we have seen, about everything, about matters big and small, about things that matter and things that don't," he tweeted.

The remarks are the latest volley between Conway and the president in a feud that boiled over earlier this week, with Trump addressing him directly on Twitter.

"A total loser!" Trump wrote on Tuesday.

On Wednesday, the president added: "George Conway, often referred to as Mr. Kellyanne Conway by those who know him, is VERY jealous of his wife's success & angry that I, with her help, didn't give him the job he so desperately wanted. I barely know him but just take a look, a stone cold LOSER & husband from hell!"

George Conway, meanwhile, has maintained that the president's decision to address his criticism on Twitter showed that Trump was not fit for the job and is too easily distracted by personal attacks.

"You seem determined to prove my point. Good for you! #NarcissisticPersonalityDisorder," George Conway wrote.

Conway, a frequent critic of Trump, questioned the president's mental state earlier this week.

Kellyanne Conway on Wednesday defended Trump, however, saying her husband isn't a psychiatrist.
