Shame almost reaches politicians cozy with the NRA
While some Republicans who had been scheduled to speak at the NRA convention just days after the Robb Elementary School gun massacre did cancel their appearances, they did so with scheduling excuses or, in the case of Governor Abbott, with a recorded message on the event's jumbotron instead.
