White House press secretary Sean Spicer on Monday will hold his first press briefing in nearly three weeks.

Spicer will address reporters at an off-camera briefing in the James S. Brady Press Briefing Room at 2 p.m.

It will be Spicer's first briefing at the White House since June 28.

President Trump was in Europe for the Group of 20 summit from July 5-8 and traveled to France Thursday and Friday of last week, meaning there were no briefings at the White House.

The press secretary has largely been missing from public view in recent week

Spicer has taken on many of the behind-the-scenes duties of the White House communications director, a post that has been vacant since early June following the resignation of Mike Dubke.

He has largely delegated the briefings to his deputy, Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

The level of transparency at the briefings, which have increasingly been conducted off-camera, has become a point of contention between the White House staff and press corps.

Rumors of a shakeup have long hung over the embattled White House press office, but thus far, Trump has not made other major changes.
