Covid relief bill advances in the Senate without Republican support
On Thursday, Vice President Harris cast the tie-breaking vote to begin debate on President Biden’s $1.9 trillion Covid relief bill. Some Republican lawmakers argue it is too expensive and does not focus on fighting the pandemic.
