Some kids experiencing inflammatory syndrome after COVID-19
What many fear about COVID-19 is the unknown. Studies show most children fair well with the coronavirus, but there's a group who suffer from multi-system inflammatory syndrome and doctors don't know why. Tyona Montgomery is recovering from multisystem inflammatory syndrome, often known as MIS-C. A few days before her 18th birthday, she tested positive for the coronavirus. She quarantined at home and her symptoms went away, but weeks later, she started feeling awful.
