Macy’s CEO: Thanksgiving Day Parade is ‘a TV event’ this year
Jeffrey Gennette, chairman and CEO of Macy’s, tells TODAY that this year’s Thanksgiving Day parade is not a live event: “It’s a TV event” that was filmed over three days with everybody tested for COVID-19 and wearing masks. But, he promises, “all the elements are back,” including balloons, musical performers and the Radio City Rockettes.
