Bernie Sanders reveals the maker of his viral meme mittens is ‘overwhelmed’ by attention
A photo of Senator Bernie Sanders from the presidential inauguration quickly became an internet sensation as memes popped up all over social media. In fact, the image is so popular it became an actual baseball, which you can own for the low price of $9.99. And when asked about the hilarious images on “Late Night With Seth Meyers,” Thursday, Sanders admitted, “Yeah I’ve seen them.” He also revealed that the now-iconic mittens he wore immediately turned one of his constituents into an overnight celebrity. “The woman who made the mittens lives in Essex Junction, Vermont,” said Sanders. “She is a school teacher and is a very very nice person and she’s been somewhat overwhelmed by the kind of attention that is being shown to her mittens.”
