1430: Joan of Arc is captured

At the end of the Siege of Compi├Ęgne, the teenage French military warrior was captured by the Burgundians who were allied with the British. 'The Maid of Orleans' had played an important role in the Hundred Years' War between France and England, paving the way for the final French victory.
