In 2021, G2 Esports were one of the most successful teams in the CS:GO scene. The European squad placed second in some of the most important tournaments of the year, including IEM Cologne 2021 andPGL Stockholm Major 2021.

Many of those successes came down to Nikola “NiKo” Kovač’s, who has been G2’s stand-out player over the course of the last year. As a result, the Bosnian was named the third-best player of 2021 by HLTV.

G2, however, has frequently failed to defeat Natus Vincere. The org made several changes to its roster ahead of the upcoming season to change this. But NiKo continues to be the star of the team.
