Gritty shows off golf prowess with 'monster' shot at TopGolf

Gritty might be the best mascot in pro sports.

Ok, that might be a little strong but there’s no doubt Gritty is great.

And, it appears, he can swing a mean stick.

At a recent appearance at TopGolf, Gritty, the mascot for the Philadelphia Flyers, is seen on video just mashing a tee shot. That can’t be easy in that suit.

While some on social media claim he may have left the yard with that shot, it was no doubt impressive.

Even better: Gritty’s reaction. As some fans nearby cheer wildly, he (or she? we’re not actually sure) did a club toss and then his signature grab-my-rear-end-dance move.

Gritty was introduced as the Flyers’ mascot on Sept. 24, 2018, and quickly rose to the top of most popular mascots in the NHL and perhaps in all of pro sports.

Who knew he had these kind of skills?
