Adam Eaton and Todd Frazier met before Tuesday’s Washington Nationals-New York Mets game to hash out some of their differences that have received attention this week.

Eaton and Frazier made headlines after Eaton confronted Frazier on the field after grounding into a double play during the Nats’ 5-3 loss to the Mets during Monday’s game between the teams. Frazier declined to elaborate on their issues after the game, but Eaton did and called Frazier childish.

Frazier responded somewhat on Tuesday. He said his issues with Eaton go back to their time as teammates on the Chicago White Sox in 2016, though he did not elaborate on what Eaton did to bother him.

Finally having heard enough, Eaton talked it out with Frazier before Tuesday’s game. MASN cameras showed Eaton appearing to do most of the talking.

What Eaton did to alienate himself on the White Sox, at least according to Frazier, is what everyone wants to know but the infielder would not divulge. Frazier came across as childish for holding things against his ex-teammate, but there appears to be more to the story that he’s not sharing.

On top of everything else, the chirping between them on Monday was a continuation of problems they had last season after Eaton injured a Mets player on a slide.
