Okay, so maybe it’s not so much that SB Nation FanPulse voters want to see the Washington Nationals win as much as they want to see the Los Angeles Dodgers lose, but we’ll take it! If the Nats have to be your vehicle to get the Dodgers out of the postseason again, they’re up for the job.

They have a chance tonight, in Game 5 of the NLDS, otherwise it’s on St. Louis or Atlanta to make the voters’ wishes come true.

So how are Nationals fans feeling, confidence-wise going into the win-or-go-home matchup with the Dodgers?

Will the Nationals “Stay in the Fight”? Go 1-0 today? Will the Nats make it to the NLCS for the first time since baseball returned to D.C. in 2005?

Stephen Strasburg is on the mound tonight at 8:37 PM EDT, against Dodgers’ right-hander Walker Buehler. Is this the end for the 2019 Nationals, or the start of something new that’s going to get fans in D.C. excited about the possibilities?

The other national baseball question this week asked about the American League, which of the remaining teams fans want to see lose the most?:

Shockingly, the anti-Yankees sentiment in the baseball world remains strong, in spite of the fact that this team, marketed as a ragtag bunch of baseball savages is not your typical New York behemoth.

Should we ask ourselves why the FanPulse voters, or at least around 15-20% of them want the Nationals to lose? Nah, why bother. It’s probably because of the Strasburg Shutdown, Mike Rizzo’s hubris, which is something people repeat all the time because someone wrote that one time when he watched out for Strasburg’s best interest, which, you know, ended up being something Strasburg cited when he decided to sign an extension in Washington rather than test free agency a few years back. But whatever. Keep on hating. Is it 8:37 yet?
