The San Antonio Spurs and Toronto Raptors officially announced their blockbuster trade of Kawhi Leonard and DeMar DeRozan on Wednesday.

Despite Leonard's tumultuous nine-game season with San Antonio, the Spurs wanted to thank Leonard for his seven years with the franchise. In doing so, though, NBA fans were convinced that the Spurs were actually throwing shade at the two-time All-Star.

The Spurs' initial tweet read, "Thank you Kawhi." It had a photo of a smiling Leonard. It all seemed harmless enough until the team sent a separate farewell tweet to Danny Green, who was also a part of the trade.

They basically shouted their thank you to Green while saying "thanks" to Leonard.

The difference did not go unnoticed.
