FOX Sports personality Kristine Leahy reacted to LaVar Ball’s perceived slight at her expense by rising above the fray to help raise awareness for a worthy cause.

Ball, the father of former UCLA standout and soon-to-be high pick in the 2017 NBA Draft Lonzo Ball, had an ugly on-air exchange with Leahy during an appearance last week on “The Herd.” Ball during the interview took issue with Leahy’s line of questioning and told her to “stay in your lane.”

And in the aftermath of the ugly scene, Ball on Wednesday announced shirts will now be sold via his Big Baller Sports brand that seeks to make money off the embarrassing exchange.

The notion that Ball is attempting to profit off his disrespectful — and what some have suggested sexist — conduct towards Leahy arguably is beyond the pale.

Leahy, who claims to have received death threats in light of the incident with Ball, sought to turn the situation into a positive instead of reacting negatively to Ball's latest move.

Leahy took to Twitter Thursday morning to ask her followers to donate money to the Support Girls Inc. organization.

Classy stuff.

It almost goes without saying that LaVar Ball can often take things a bit too far (more on that here). It seems like almost on a daily basis Ball delivers an outlandish comment or commits some act that  brings with it the kind of notoriety for his family that can be positive at times but is just as often unfavorable.
