The Washington Wizards took on the New York Knicks in London on Thursday and won thanks to a goaltending call just before the buzzer.

Washington was down 100-99 with three seconds left and ran an inbounds play. The ball went to Bradley Beal, who passed to Thomas Bryant for a layup. Allonzo Trier leaped to block the shot and was called for goaltending.

That’s probably not the way fans in London wanted to see a game decided, but it worked for the Wizards. They won 101-100.

Washington has been playing much better lately and is 6-3 over their past nine games.
