Lonzo Ball's NBA career has only just begun, but his spare time is already worth a fortune-in his family's estimation, anyway. According to Vice Sports' Seerat Sohi, "The Ball family is now charging $15,000 for interviews that extend past Ball's media obligations as a member of the Lakers."

That's a hefty price to pay for time with a 19-year-old who's hardly the most verbose subject, to put it mildly.

"He's got interest from people who don't give a damn, personally" former shoe impresario Sonny Vaccaro told Vice Sports. "LaVar created a marketplace. He put a Tiffany's in a place where a store like Tiffany's never would have existed before. He created space where there was no space before, for his son."

And, it seems, LaVar Ball is doing everything he can to monetize his eldest son's celebrity. Between his rookie contract with the Los Angeles Lakers, original songs, interview fees and sales of Big Baller Brand shoes and emojis, Lonzo should have little trouble making money even if his NBA career doesn't pan out.

Either that, or the Balls just don't want Zo speaking publicly unless he absolutely has to, and the $15,000 fee is just a way of waiving away those requests.
