While Ole Miss is currently lighting up scoreboards under second year coach Matt Luke and breakout star quarterback Jordan Ta'amu, disgraced former head coach Hugh Freeze managed to slither back into the public consciousness.

Since his resignation before the 2017 season, Freeze has been out of college football. His answer hilarious in its' tone-deafness and willful ignorance.

Yeah, the climate in America. Totally.

Apparently it's not because Freeze, who only went 39-25 in five seasons at Ole Miss, essentially turned the Rebels into early 1980s SMU. Under his staff's watch, Ole Miss was charged with numerous recruiting violations, including giving recruits cash and helping with car loans.

Former Ole Miss offensive tackle and current Miami Dolphin Laremy Tunsil went so far as to throw his former coaching staff under the bus when he admitted to taking money from an assistant to pay for his mother's electric bill.

Freeze's staff even doctored ACT scores of a handful of recruits by instructing them to leave answers they felt unsure about blank so that they could be filled in correctly later.

The crown jewel in among Freeze's treasure trove of scandals was a call made to an escort service from a university phone. Freeze's excuse? It was a misdial.

Freeze might considered persona non grata by SEC commissioner Greg Sankey, but his apprehension is not due to the social climate in the country. Freeze ravaged the integrity of his conference once, and Sankey is taking a strong stance in order to prevent another scandal in the SEC.
