In a heartbreaking story, Dallas Cowboys wide receiver and return man Lucky Whitehead's dog, Blitz, was stolen from home while Whitehead was out of town.

Whitehead was out of town, and a close friend was taking care of his dog at Whitehead's home. Burglars broke into his house and stole Blitz.

According to the post on Instagram, Whitehead also states the people that stole his dog have called asking for ransoms in return for Blitz. Whitehead didn't take too kindly to that.

Hopefully Whitehead's dog is returned to him safely and unharmed. Many people have, in bad taste, made jokes about the incident. The sanctuary of a person's home being violated is no laughing matter, and certainly neither is the kidnapping of a pet.
