With the way the Jets played Sunday against the Vikings, they had every reason to be ticked off. It's never good when it looks like that frustration is being taken out on an on official, though.

Late in the fourth quarter, wide receiver Robby Anderson appeared to be looking for a pass interference call in the end zone, but the official did not throw his flag. Anderson then chucked the football in the direction of the referee. He was flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct.

Anderson also thought there was another missed penalty earlier in the game.

Afterward, Anderson apologized for throwing the ball.

"It's just frustration. I hate losing. It wasn't anything intended to ref," Anderson told reporters. "I apologize for that to league and to the ref. It was just a reaction. It wasn't anything malicious at all."

Anderson only had three catches for 44 yards on 10 targets. It was an abysmal day for the Jets offense, highlighted by Sam Darnold's struggles under center.

Anderson has every right to be upset with the Jets' performance Sunday, but he needed a little more awareness when he decided to throw the ball in the ref's direction.
